On February 18th of 2023, nearly two years after going into the studio to record "The Abominable Stringband Volumes 1 & 2," Acoustic Nomads journeyed to Follen Church in Lexington, Massachusetts, to record in the acoustically excellent sanctuary there.

Captured in these performances, the members of Acoustic Nomads are in their prime. "Quartet" is a snapshot in time from their spring tour of 2023, finding the group in the middle of a run of shows through New England.

This album has something for first time listeners and die-hard fans of the group alike, featuring long-time Acoustic Nomads standards, hits from the Abominable Stringband records, and new original material.

The whole of "Quartet" was recorded live in one afternoon, with no separation or isolation between the musicians, giving the intimacy and freshness of a live performance.
